Effectiveness Institute is a professional learning and development firm dedicated to helping organizations build and sustain high-performance cultures. Since 1980, we’ve partnered with clients across industries and around the world to strengthen professional relationships and improve team performance.
We believe the true engine of performance lies in people — their ability to communicate effectively, give and receive feedback, resolve conflict, influence others, and work together with trust and respect. While organizations often focus on systems and strategy, we help leaders and teams enhance the people side of performance — the skills and behaviors necessary for a healthy, engaged culture.
Our work is grounded in decades of experience and a proven track record of measurable impact. Whether we’re developing leaders, enhancing team collaboration, or helping organizations navigate change, we bring practical tools and insights that deliver lasting results.
Effectiveness Institute was founded in 1980 by Dr. Bill Maynard and Tom Champoux, whose early work transforming a struggling inner-city high school in Seattle demonstrated the power of shared purpose, emotional intelligence, and intentional culture. That same philosophy continues to guide our work today: when people grow, performance follows.
